What is Laminate?

Affordable and versatile, High Pressure Laminates have been used in kitchens, baths, tables and work areas in residential and high-traffic environments for decades.  High Pressure Laminate (HPL) consists of decorative surface papers impregnated with melamine resins are pressed over Kraft paper core sheets impregnated with phenolic resin.  The sheets are then bonded under high pressures and high temperatures to form single plastic sheets ready for use.  With an ever-evolving palette of colors, textures and finishes, laminate surfaces offer consistency and creativity.  Impact, stain and moisture resistant, High Pressure Laminates are stylish, easy-to-maintain and will stand up to years of wear.  Choose Post Form prefabricated laminate surfaces with softly curved backsplashes and rolled front edges that are a snap to keep clean, or choose square or beveled Job Applied for unique installations or moisture prone areas.  In addition to traditional installations such as countertops, High Pressure Laminate may also be used for vertical surfaces throughout the home -- backsplashes, appliance overlays and cabinet surfaces are just a few of the possibilities.
